United Way of West Florida Launches COVID-19 Response Fund

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic facing our nation and community, United Way of West Florida launched a response fund to support those affected in our community.
Last month, United Way of West Florida initiated Phase One of the UWWF COVID-19 Response Fund Distribution by giving $246,266 to 15 nonprofit agencies providing direct support to impacted individuals and families in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The COVID-19 Response Fund targets assistance to ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households that have been economically impacted by the pandemic with expenses such as rent, mortgage, utilities, childcare, and other household expenses.
