Greater Pensacola Chamber President Releases Coronavirus Update

March 17th Coronavirus Update

I wanted to provide the latest on what’s happening with Coronavirus locally and what we at the Greater Pensacola Chamber are doing to support our local businesses.
To help keep information about Coronavirus concise and easy to find, we have updated our Coronavirus Resource Page with direct links for Business ResourcesHealth Resourcesand Community Resources. We will continue to update these pages as needed.

Governor Ron DeSantis has activated the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program, managed by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, to support small businesses impacted by COVID-19 with short-term, interest-free loans. You can apply for a loan between March 17-May 8 at floridadisasterloan.org.

As we go through this period, we want to make sure that the Chamber can share information about your business. If you have a restaurant or food delivery business, please feel free to go to the Facebook page we created Pensacola Take Out & Delivery Options Amid COVID-19 and post any information you have about specials, curbside service, food delivery, or other services your business is providing. This Facebook page is public and available to any food service business in our community, so please share this page with other businesses so we can help as many folks as possible.

We are also in the process of compiling information from food banks and other community groups about their efforts to collect and distribute food to those in need in the coming weeks. We will share these details once they are solidified.

Our community is again showing how amazing we are. Let’s keep supporting each other as we work through this together.

Sincerely,

Todd Thomson | President/CEO
